Good take-out spot to park to get the most out of the Caney Fork River... prettiest part of the float is from the first take out to Betty's Island.

Busy spot. Rangers wait here and look for people not wearing life jackets and will issue tickets. Road is hard to get 2 vehicles on side by side. Had to carry the canoes up the hill to the parking lot.

It is not easy to find so have some form of GPS on hand. There is nothing fancy about it. Betty's Island Boatramp is just that a Boatramp out in the wilderness, there are no amenities.

One way traffic incredibly congested on weekends. Took 45 minutes to hook up and leave. Will be under water approximately 4 hours after a release.

Fun place to start kayaking
